Console Info

This section will show you the best way to get RGB from each system, as well as which versions of each system outputs the best quality!  Some systems only require an RGB cable and others require modifications, but I’ve broken each section down to show the best option for your setup.
Here’s all the console pages that are live and currently being updated with the latest information.  If this site was a help, please consider supporting the Patreon, as it’s the main reason this site is able to stay alive:  https://www.patreon.com/retrorgb

If you need detailed technical info on any of the above systems (or any I don’t have listed), I suggest checking out the Console5 Wiki, as it has datasheets and schematics for almost every console!:  https://console5.com/techwiki/
Here’s some other links I often find helpful:
240p Test Suite – If you’d like to calibrate your display directly from your console, this software will be a huge help.  I’ve also used it to test lag on displays and upscalers…it’s my favorite go-to software for testing!!!: http://junkerhq.net/xrgb/index.php/240p_test_suite  /  http://junkerhq.net/xrgb/index.php/240p_test_suite#Versions
GameSX– This site has techincal info for almost every system!  It also has a list of systems and available mods, so if you can’t find what you’re looking for on this page, check the ones below: http://www.gamesx.com/         /         http://www.gamesx.com/wiki/doku.php?id=matrix
MMMonkey– A site with tons of hardware mods: http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/
Also, there are great forums around with helpful people.  I’d read everything in this guide before posting questions (so people aren’t posting the same beginner questions over and over), but if you’re ever stuck, check out the forums at: shmups.com, smspower.org, sega-16.com, assemblergames.com and racketboy.com.
