Displaced Gamers has just posted a video explaining the proper aspect ratios of Capcom arcade games. I’m sure most CRT gamers already know how to properly display these games, but the video does a great job explaining why the aspect ratio and resolutions are displayed the way they are.
They also debunked an annoying myth that some Capcom games are actually 16:9 – Completely not true. I realize that some people prefer to play 4:3 classic games stretched to 16:9, but choosing to do that is very different then claiming it’s “supposed” to be that way. I’m glad Displaced Gamers’ video finally proved that untrue!
