YouTuber “Displaced Gamers” just released another educational video in his series covering analog signals, resolutions, aspect ratios, and more. This video covered “Luma” and the history of brightness and its uses in television and video signals. As well as its applications to video signal and how the human eye perceives it. Special care and attention to details were provided in this video showcasing and explaining the scientific reasons and equations behind how RGB color and the gamma corrected color is formed to show the video images we see. This was an incredible video to watch and I highly recommend watching his previous works as well.
